Introduction

Meteorology is the science dealing with the atmosphere and the changes it undergoes, including weather and climate. Why do we study weather? How would you like to go to the beach if it rained? Do you like to know what clothes to wear that are appropriate for the weather? We get this information from television, radio, and newspapers. We receive this information from trained individuals called meteorologists. A meteorologists is a scientist who studies the atmosphere and its changes in order to predict daily weather.
Task

For this activity you will become a meteorologist. You will make a weather presentation like those you see on t.v. This presentation will include the forecast. All this will be done on powerpoint.
Process

The first thing you are going to do is make a weather journal. To do this you will keep a record of what you view on the weather channell. You must do this for ten days in a row. In your entries you must include the time and date you watched it, the channell, high and low temperatures, rainfall, wind speed, and the forecast. You may include any other additional information you find interesting.

The final part of this project is to complete a weather forecast PowerPoint presentation. Your powerpoint must contain at least six slides. For the first slide you will put the title you chose and your name. The next five slides can be in any order you choose. One slide will include the temperature information, another will include precipitation information, one a weather map, another will include past weather information, and one a detailed forecast for the next four days.
